Much has changed over the course of the past 50 years in the Holmdel, NJ community, but one thing has remained the same: the selfless dedication of the volunteer members of the Holmdel First Aid Squad and their willingness to help others. On Thursday, October 17, 2019, township residents, businesses, and friends will have the opportunity to salute their service, as the squad hosts its 50th Anniversary Gala.
The celebration will be held at The Gramercy, 410 Highway 36 in Hazlet, NJ from 6:30 to 10:30 pm. The evening will begin with an expanded cocktail hour, followed by a sumptuous dinner, music, and dancing. Tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime historic event are $150 per person, $275 for two tickets, or $1,250 for 10 tickets if purchased together.
Do you have a business or organization that would like to show your support with a sponsorship? Opportunities remain to be a Gold Sponsor for $3,000 (table of 10 prominent seats, gold full page ad, and inclusion in social media event posts) or a Silver Sponsor for $2,000 (six tickets for preferred seats, silver full page ad, and inclusion in social media event posts). You may also take an ad in the event journal; prices are $750 for a gold full page, $500 for a silver full page, $300 for a full page, or $175 for a half page.

The Holmdel First Aid squad is comprised entirely of community volunteers who represent a wide range of backgrounds and experience but share the same dedication to assist their neighbors in times of need. The squad members include college students, business professionals, homemakers, and retirees. Additional volunteers are always needed and warmly welcomed, and all new members will receive training and equipment to provide them with the skills they need.
By mid-September of this year alone, the Holmdel First Aid Squad had treated 1,010 patients, responding to emergency calls at all hours of the day and night. In 2018, they responded to 1,523 calls. It’s a far cry from the sleepy community of five decades ago, and their services are more vital than ever.
If you’re not able to join the squad as a member, then come and join the squad as a guest at their very special 50th anniversary celebration! To learn more, visit www.holmdelfirstaid.org or call 732-946-3239.
