Bingo Benefit Dinner Offers Bling for a Good Cause

A local nonprofit is gambling – in a good way – on the success of an upcoming fundraiser. On Friday, September 13, 2019, the organization Because She Is will host a Fall “Blingo” & Gift Auction event at Madison Park Banquet Hall, 3011 Cheesequake Road in Parlin, NJ. Doors open at 7 pm and games begin at 8 pm.

Come and play some exciting games of bingo to win jewelry bling! There will also be an array of beautiful raffle prizes and a cash 50/50. Tickets are on sale now and include bingo cards, dabbers, a starter bag of raffle prize tickets, plus a delicious hot buffet dinner. Guests can purchase additional raffle and 50/50 tickets that evening.

Starting August 1, tickets are priced at $65 per person. Why not put together a table with your family, friends, business, or group for a fun night out? Reservations for a full table (10 guests) include a full page ad in the event program. Reservations for a half table (5 guests) include a half page ad in the program. Showcase your organization or company, or share a message of support!

About Because She Is

Because She Is, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, offers completely free peer support services, workshops, and a social network for survivors of physical, emotional, and/or sexual assault or abuse. The all-volunteer organization was founded and is led by other survivors. Meetings, workshops, and other activities are held at a private and welcoming location, named Marilyn’s Place, which is conveniently located and easily accessible for attendees that come from throughout Monmouth and Middlesex Counties. There, they may feel safe, secure, and surrounded by support from others who know what it’s like to share similar experiences.

Long-term goals include being able to add a trauma clinician for those who cannot afford professional therapy, an art therapist, and additional support groups for families of trauma survivors, all at no cost to participants.
