Since 1988, the nonprofit Phoenix Productions has been dedicated to its mission of providing quality theatrical experiences for both audiences and performers alike. With performances presented in the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, NJ, Phoenix Productions specializes in reviving popular Broadway hits in the best way possible, with full sets, elaborate costumes, talented casts, meticulous crews, sophisticated sound, quality lighting, and a full, live orchestra. They take pride in saying, “It’s as close as you can get to the Broadway experience right here in central New Jersey, at a fraction of the cost and inconvenience.” Since its debut 30 years ago, the organization has staged more than 100 productions to entertain more than a half million theater patrons, plus provided outstanding opportunities to thousands of local performers, musicians, arts, and craftspeople – most of whom have volunteered for the simple joy of doing what they do to share their talents.
As a nonprofit, their ongoing efforts to keep ticket prices affordable and expenses low also means that funds are needed to maintain their standards of producing quality theater. Businesses, organizations, foundations, and individuals are invited to donate and help support their artistic endeavors, and membership benefits are available for donors at every price level. Of course, the most entertaining way to show your support for Phoenix Productions – and reward yourself with a wonderful outing in the process – is to come out and enjoy one of their upcoming shows.
