The legendary Osmond Brothers made a fabulous special appearance at the PNC Bank Arts Center on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 13, delighting the large audience with their familiar harmony, cheerful banter, and nostalgic reminiscences from their lifelong entertainment careers. The event was the third of this year’s Senior Concert Series presented by the Garden State Arts Foundation. The non-profit organization provides free programs for New Jersey school children, senior citizens, and families at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ and at various outreach locations throughout the state. The foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life through the performing arts, and also offers scholarships to students who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in the performing arts at New Jersey colleges and universities.
Upcoming afternoon performances that remain for the 2017 season include From Broadway to Hollywood on Wednesday, September 6, Bobby Rydell on Tuesday, September 19, and The Cameos on Tuesday, September 26. Evening performances will feature Tommy James & The Shondells’ 50th Anniversary Celebration on Friday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m., with guest artists Groovin’ with Gene Cornish, formerly of The Rascals, and Bobby Bandiera, formerly of Bon Jovi and Southside Johnny, and guest host Cousin Brucie. On Friday, September 15 at 8:00 p.m. will be Cousin Brucie’s Rock & Roll Year Book Volume 1, and Friday, September 22 at 8:00 p.m. will be Dick Fox’s Doo Wop Extravaganza.
