Each year, there are two fabulous opportunities for the public to enjoy festivities during the warm weather months with the incomparable non-profit organization Holiday Express. The first one is the Annual Holiday Express Golf Classic, being held this month on Monday, July 15 at the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle, NJ.
But if you’d prefer to party on the sand instead of thinking about your par on the course, then be sure to mark the date for the organization’s second major fundraiser of 2019, the 12th Annual Holiday Express Sunset Benefit Clambake, to be held on Sunday, September 15, That’s the day when hundreds of guests will converge upon the beach at McLoone’s Pier House in Long Branch, NJ and gather under enormous, beautifully decorated tents for an incredible shoreline soiree.
Attendees at the annual clambake will enjoy a lavishly delectable buffet with a seafood raw bar, lobster, filet mignon, and premium open bar throughout the event, plus an array of outstanding auction prizes and a generous cash raffle. No formalwear is requirement for this elaborate party; attire is beach casual chic, so you can boogie in shorts, sundresses, and sandals to live musical entertainment by the talented Holiday Express Band as the sun sets on the horizon.
Tickets for the Sunset Benefit Clambake are $250 per person and reservations are being accepted now for what is sure to be another sell-out celebration. Sponsorships at various price points are also being offered and auction item donations are gratefully accepted.
All proceeds go directly towards the considerable expenses of providing music, food, gifts, and financial support – in addition to the priceless gift of friendship and personal interaction – to 27,000 people who will be visited at 100 events during the upcoming holiday season. Now heading into its 27th season, Holiday Express is dedicated to visiting groups throughout New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia that include the mentally and physically challenged, the isolated, those in addiction and recovery programs, the poor and homeless, and children with serious illnesses, all of whom are often overlooked and forgotten. The average cost for each event is $6,000 and the organization relies entirely on donations from individuals, groups, and businesses in the community to make it possible.
