Stephy’s Place, a non-profit organization that provides free support groups for those suffering the loss of a loved one, will be hosting two popular springtime fundraisers.
On Friday, March 20, 2020, Beach Blanket Bingo to Benefit Stephy’s Place will be held at Christian Brothers Academy, 850 Newman Springs Road in Lincroft, NJ. Doors open at 5:30 pm and bingo begins at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $35 per person, with tables of up to eight guests available. Guests will enjoy a series of exciting bingo games with cash prizes, plus a raffle with chances to win items from an assortment of terrific prize baskets. Admission (age 21 and over only) includes six bingo cards, dessert, coffee, and tea. BYO food and drink to enjoy!
On Thursday, May 14, 2020 from 6:30 to 10 pm, Stephy’s Place will present the third annual Comedy for a Cause event, to be held at Brookdale Community College Performing Arts Center, 765 Newman Springs Road in Lincroft, NJ. This year’s comedy lineup has yet to be announced, but past events have featured hilarious performances with several outstanding comedians appearing each time. Stephy’s Place has also been named the beneficiary of this year’s Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade, scheduled for Sunday, March 8.

Stephy’s Place serves residents throughout the area, providing free one-on-one and group peer counseling support and other resources for those suffering grief and loss. The organization offers a safe and welcoming place with the sole purpose of sharing faith, hope, and love, assisting those in need to move forward through the grief process while dealing with the practical demands of everyday life.
Support groups are available for those who have suffered the loss of a spouse or partner, loss of a child, loss due to suicide, loss of a sibling, and adult loss of a parent, as well as support for life after divorce. There are also free meditation classes.
